Well written

On the guest list

Have a peek at a recent letterpressed invitation created for a fabulous 50th birthday. Not wanting to limit the celebrations to one specific time and date, this invitation was created so the details could be filled in by hand. Having multiple celebrations is the best way to kick off turning 50!

Duly noted

Working with a client in creating bespoke notecards recently, the lovely couple were having trouble deciding between two colour choices. R&J suggested featuring both colours on their custom creations, which was inspired by a lotus shape. Each colour choice was further enhanced by the corresponding envelope liner. A his and her's take on notecards!

The Royal Invite

Check that post box: the Royal Wedding invitations are in the post. While ours hasn't arrived yet, we saw a sneak peak online and sadly felt slightly let down by the design. Perhaps we were hoping for a bit more of a celebratory announcement...it is the Royal Wedding invitation after all! Assumingly in accordance to the Royal family's stationery design, the invitation is decorated in gold writing and emblazed with a matching insignia of William's
grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, in whose name the invitation is sent. The edges of the invitation were beveled and gilded. Regardless of the design, we'll still keep our fingers crossed hoping the invitation is on its way to us soon.

Icing on the cake

To celebrate AnOther Magazine's 10th anniversary, 10 fashion designers were invited to sketch their fantasy birthday cake. The results have been paired with the world's best cake makers to create the most delicious pairing of fashion and food. The creations were unveiled this week at Selfridge's Wonder Room featuring designs from Karl Lagerfeld, Gareth Pugh, Gucci and Lanvin. What better way to celebrate a birthday than having your cake and eating it too, fashionably of course.
