Bride-to-be bliss

One of my closest girlfriends is getting married in less than a month and we recently celebrated with a lovely surprise Hen party. Featuring one of her wedding colours, the card was designed with her love of flowers in mind. It included a few blank pages so her Hens could write lovely notes to her, along with a page of excerpts from 'Don'ts for Wives' by Blanche Ebbutt. While a bit old-fashioned, some of these suggestions still hold true:

Don't forget to wish your husband good morning when he sets off to the office. He will feel the lack of your good bye kiss all day.

Don’t let him have to search the house for you. Listen for his latch-key and meet him on the threshold.

Don't take your husband on a laborious shopping expedition, and expect him to remain good-tempered throughout.

Don't forget that your husband is your chum and will be delighted to be called upon in an emergency.

The card was then hand-stitched along the left hand side, with the 'Bride to be' tag. She will make a beautiful bride!
